NavIC (Navigation with Indian Constellation, originally known as IRNSS) is India's autonomous regional satellite navigation system designed, launched, and maintained entirely by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). It provides real-time, highly accurate positioning and timing services over India and a primary service area extending 1,500 km around its borders.

Constellation Architecture & Clocks

• Space-Grade Rubidium Atomic Clocks: High-precision indigenous and space-hardened atomic timekeeping standards ensuring sub-5 meter user position accuracy.
• Dual-Band Signaling: Emits signals across L5 (1176.45 MHz) and S-band (2492.028 MHz), with the latest NVS-series satellites adding the civilian interoperable L1 frequency band (1575.42 MHz).
